Rotkel goes Links

Since the beginning of the year, we have been supporting the publishing house Christoph Links Verlag in typesetting, proofreading, copy editing and compilation – at the moment we are cooperating on the series “Kommunismus und Gesellschaft” (communism and society), published by the Zentrum für Zeithistorische Forschung Potsdam (Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam).

The Christoph Links publishing house was one of the first new private businesses in East Germany in early 1990. From the beginning, its goal was to tackle those subjects of the most recent German history that had previously been kept under wraps – especially the actual circumstances in the GDR. Even though their range of topics has grown over the years, the publishing house still stays true to its original mission.

Change of Staff

At the end of 2015 Agnieszka Szczepanska left our team to pursue her own goals. We wish her all the best for her future and lots of success with all her projects. Our colleague Jonas Grygier is taking over the area PR & Marketing as of now.

Welcome

Starting today, Linda Kutzki is supporting the Rotkel Textwerkstatt in typesetting, image processing and picture editing.

Linda studied German philology, media sciences and modern history in Potsdam and has been working as a typesetter for organizations and publishers since 2006. We are very happy to welcome her into our team!

The Rotkel Team is Celebrating Christmas

On the 23rd of December we will close our office and enjoy our own well-deserved Christmas vacation, during which we will – as an exception! – read books only for fun. We wish all our clients relaxing holidays and a happy New Year. Our freshly recovered eagle eyes will be back and ready to take on your texts again starting on the 4th of January. Naturgefahrenreport 2015 (2015 Report on Natural Dangers)

For the third time in a row we were in charge of the final editing of this year’s annual report on natural dangers published by the Gesamt¬verband der deutschen Versicherer e. V. (German Insurance Federation) – or GDV for short. Each year this timeline of damages provides insight into the total insured losses caused during the previous 12 months. In numerous tables, info graphics and figures the 2014 losses caused by storms, hail and intense rain are displayed and compared with the results of previous years. The graphic layout has been created by Roman Rossberg (zwoplus) , the concept and texts come from Katharina Fial (Manufaktur für feine Texte) . You can download the report on natural dangers here.
